Any chance Chevy brings out the Equinox for either DC. auto show January 20th through 29th or the Baltimore Auto Show - March 10th through 12th?

If the 2RS goes live in the fall of 2023 - surely the buying public will want to see it in advance. Question is will it have to be at a Chevy dealership over the summer or at Auto shows early next year.

Peterd15 will be attending the LA show tomorrow and we may find something out. I will be going to the Toronto AutomShowmin February if I can confirm there will a model to see there.

I agree they should be showing something soon, or at least announcing that it will be at some future show.

Ford will not participate In any Canadian Auto Shows in 2023.

The attached article is self explanatory, but I personally believe is that Ford was embarrassed by GM and other car companies EV’s and that the show demonstrated that they were behind the EV curve. I am not Ford biased, as I have purchased far more Fords than GM vehicles.

On the other hand, Tesla seems to have done OK without advertising, auto shows or dealers. Musk's tweets and shows substituted for those. But Musk is a double edged sword at this point. His antics with Twitter are both distracting him and turning some people off. Threatening advertisers like Apple to force them to advertise seems an odd tactic. Whether his Twitter mess will affect the Tesla brand, hard to say.

Regardless, Ford is not Tesla. Auto shows are expensive, maybe Ford is looking at how it spends it's marketing dollars, maybe the need the money for R&D. The Lighting and Mustang EV's where one-offs. Great to get some sales and EV cred, but neither advanced their ability to create more EV's. The F150 is basically an ICE truck with batteries stuffed in. Nothing there to re-use for making other EV's.

While Ford was doing that, GM was well along the Ultium platform development. Ultium can underpin a wide range of vehicles as we know, from delivery vans to Hummer, to Equinox EV. The Hummer development did most of the work for the Silverado, This is why we are seeing GM announcing EV after EV. GM can now basically drape different sheet metal onto lot's of shared motors, software, battery components enabling a wide range of EV's.

2023 they pick up speed a notch from their 2021 and 2022 work and if they stick to their plan, 2024, 2025 and beyond will be busy years for their EV's. Unfortunately, General Electric is already taken, otherwise that would be a great name for the reborn company.

I will head to PA for the Philly show after a trip to the Middle East for business. Hopefully jet lag won't kill the chance to see the Chevy Evs.
