4" seems like it's a lot more than mine, and I am not happy about mine. However, FWIW, last week I spent a good deal of time in my sister's RAV4 Prime and her driver's side wiper does the same, approximately 2" thing. Where she lives, though she probably won't really care. It rains a lot but hardly ever snows.
