Just making sure you are aware of the $3000 $2500 discount on Blazer EVs and Equinox EVs for Bolt owners. GM is still running that promotion.

If you also own a non-GM car you can stack the $1500 conquest discount on top of that. Plus all the regular educator, military, etc, discounts.

As a Bolt owner, I bought an Equinox EV last month and no such $3000 incentive was available to me.
It is discount program 25-40CM-0. Looks like they lowered it to $2500, but it was $3000 when I acquired my Equinox EVs.
  • Must be a current owner or lessees of a 2017 model year or newer Chevy Bolt EV or Bolt EUV vehicle for at least 30 days prior to the new vehicle sale. Must finance or lease a new GM vehicle through GM Financial. Not available with some other offers. Must take new retail delivery by 03/03/2025.

I made sure to mention I was a Bolt EV owner interested in the discount. In my case they originally said it was $2500 but when the car came in and paperwork finalized it was bumped to $3k
Not surprising they got it wrong from memory. GM keeps changing it month to month.

Generally speaking loyalty and conquest don't stack, but in December I did stack "EV Loyalty" (Bolt) and conquest. I think GM can change the rules month-to-month.

Actually I think I remember - for the Conquest to stack it had to be a lease conquest - not just owned.

There is also employer discount if you/spouse work at supplier, the costco discount, the discount for applying for credit card, etc.

As an estimate I'd shoot for the dealer to take 8% off MSRP out of their pocket. The last one I leased the sales manager told me he was making no money on the car, but it helped the dealership hit a GM quota which brought separate compensation to the dealership.

For the costco discount you had to be a member by 2/23.

That's what we intend to use EQEV once we get it. But for the cat 3 long road trips, no BEV on current market is likely to be good enough.
It's a fact of life for me that EVs are more convenient than ICE for most of my driving, but less convenient for long trips. I still want to keep an ICE or PHEV in the household for the foreseeable future.

Keep in mind that you don't have to "fill up" the battery when you stop for fast charging. The goal for me is to roll into my destination at about 10% charge assuming I can charge at the destination. Sometimes that might mean only stopping to add 10%-20% to the battery. It's a different mindset.

Yeah, most of our routine destinations are charger-less places.
That's definitely a problem. No dryer outlet available even? EVs aren't perfect but for certain use cases they are amazing.
