The sound isn’t as bad as I thought it would be but, it’s not the Bose I gave up for this vehicle. I’ll definitely upgrade as soon as I can find someone who can do it on an Ev.
First time I listened to the sound system in one of these it was XM and I really don’t like the compression technique they use so I was not impressed at all, but the next time I got in was to test a Bluetooth connection and the sound was much better. It was a little disconcerting turning the volume up a half turn just to hear it, so that was weird, but I was expecting the sound to be much worse with all the bad press here.

I think I ended up at about +5 Bass, +3 Midrange and +1 treble. Seems to sound decent enough once you get enough volume. I'd say it's close to the Bose on the EUV. I didn't have a chance to sit with both and play with them.

I've had BB do the install. They are certified techs and the work / labor is for the life of the vehicle under same car owner. Check them out if they are in your area. Very professional. That's my personal experience.

Here are some pics installing the powered Kicker subwoofer 8 inch hideaway unit. All being professionally done. B

Nice, I got the ones in the screenshots, rears are done, fronts going in today.
Let us know how it sounds. I felt it a significant improvement. You can really hear the mids and treble sounds.. it no longer sounds muffled. When you add a powered sub you will get some nice lows bass sounds.

Not many photos of how exactly things are done. Yes there are some of the “install” but not the ones we need. So, I’m working on swapping all of mine, I’ll get them as I go.
First removal is the little side trim piece. Followed by the A pillar. It does have some elastic pieces on it so you’ll need I believe a 7mm to fully remove it. Those two just pop out.

This is the direct head until amplifier that I used. Its 45 watts per channel and connected to the head unit infotainment system. I have it placed behind the dashboard on the passenger side

Kind of funny you’re using this as I’ve had one in my “amplifier cabinet” for about 4 years now. Figured I’ll give it a shot first

I actually was checking that out earlier and it looked like it could be removed without removing the whole door trim. Did the stock speakers list their impedance anywhere?
Fronts have a sticker stating 4 ohm. Rears have a sticker but no impedance so my meter says 3.9 ohm. Call it 4.

I did not have really any of much install photos as I had my install done by a professional car audio technician.

I’m working through crutchfield to upload all pictures and data. Then imma see if they will send me a set of adapter for the doors to see if they fit. Either way, less than 1k miles and I’ve had all door panels off along with entire top half of dash.
I should probably just start a new thread and detail it all so as it’s not all lost in here.
