Sorry I think the site knew I had an account within my PC and wanted me to log in. Yes, you have to log in to use your GM credit card points, which I used for most of my accessory purchases.
Thanks

Not really a third party accessory, more like a DIY mod for getting a retractable cargo area shade.
My 2RS did not come with one and these are not yet available for purchase (also price...) so I bought this on Amazon and modified it to fit the Equinox EV.

This was the second attempt at hitting the right size and this one is the exactly the right size where it matters, the front spring grip rod.

Step 1
Place thin plastic sheet on the two mounting cavities in the cargo area and create impressions using epoxy putty. Let cure as needed (24 hours) and grind to shape. Also remove some of the height of the shapes.

Step 2
Place pieces of wood with double sided tape to support the spring rod in the correct location. Put epoxy glue on the inner surfaces of the two putty shapes and carefully insert the spring rod. Let cure in place.

Step 3
Take the rod out. Make a small hole for a screw at the center of the putty shapes. and a relief for a screw head. Add epoxy to fill any gaps. Screw in the screw with the head underflush (make sure it is not to long to interfere with the spring operation.

Step 4
Remove the aluminum rod (4 screws) on the extending side. Cut on one side to 39 3/4" total length and drill the holes for the screws on that side.

Step 5
Cut the excess material on both sides of the extending curtain symmetrically to the length of the rod. Reinstall the plastic ends.

Step 6
Print and install the catchers on both sides of the cargo area rear side. I will post a link to the .stl files.

Step 7
And here it is

Great job, Isa! Thanks for all the details, well done.

Thanks, Reg. I like the side mount idea.
All the aftermarket holsters I've seen stick the handle straight out from the wall so it's easier to run into it. Makes a bigger bruise that way, I guess. This is so much better!

In Isa's case it would not matter given the cabinet side that shield's it. But yes, I agree a side mount for the wall , perhaps keeping the handle center about 3" from the wall would limit accidental bumps if it stuck out like others, Electric.

Walmart, Amazon, auto-parts store all carry them Ksox. They are inexpensive and typically have a - handle rasp to clean/abrade the hole, another used to insert the plug (a saturated cord), extra plugs, some goop. You'll want to carry a needle nosed pliers, a small blade to cut the protruding cord, a towel, some gloves, maybe a plastic sheet to sit on.

A simple "Slime" brand kit is about USD$7

You can also get one about double the $ that comes in a plastic container and includes a plier and cutoff knife.

I thought it would be nice to have a thread with items you are accessorizing your Nox with. Console covers, seat covers, bumper protector, charger mat, etc.
I got this shelf with dividers. It fits well.
