GM's Cruise robotaxi unit announces major expansion in Texas

Cruise CEO Kyle Vogt has announced that it will expand to two Houston and Dallas, Texas metro areas in the coming weeks.

I am excited to announce @Cruise will go live in Houston and Dallas in the next few months! Supervised autonomous driving will start in Houston in a few days, with Dallas to follow soon after.
Cruise already serves three metro areas, including San Francisco, Austin, and Phoenix. Adding Houston and Dallas increases the number of testing environments Cruise will operate in.

Texas seems to be the new Silicon Valley.
Musk is hinting (again) that the Tesla Full Self Driving will be better and competing with Cruise for providing robotaxi services this year. Of course he says a lot of things these days...

He's labeled me (and anyone who works remotely) as an immoral Laptop Elitist, lol.

He does have a very creative side when it comes to character assassinations, lol.
The 'Robotaxi thing' reminds me of "Johnny Cab" from Total Recall. Arnold gets so frustrated with it that he destroys the robot and the car. I don't know if I can trust a self-driving car.
I had dinner with some friends and former co-workers the other night. We all worked remotely and from different parts of the world. We've been doing that for decades. We laughed at Musk's idiotic moral outrage. Working remote enabled our company to assemble a team around the globe, US, Canada, Brazil, Spain, Singapore, India, etc. Requiring everyone to move to one location so we could be in one office would be stupid.

Critics call our telework policy, Club Fed, lol
