I had new wheels bolted on with non-GM sensors. I had the tires at 40 psi. I pressed Relearn Tire Pressure on the Infotainment screen--two honks. As instructed, I bled air out of each tire (~2 psi) until car honked once for each tire. Afterwards, car infotainment screen shows 34 psi, whereas my 2 handheld tire pressure gauges show 38 psi. How can I set my TPMS to show accurate tire pressure?
From Ctriopelle's later post on this:
1) Hit relearn on tire pressure infotainment screen. Car honks 2x indicating relearn started.
2) Gett out and let pressure out of drivers front. After 5-6 seconds, car will single honk.
3) Repeat process passenger front.
4) Repeat process passenger rear and
4) Repeat process driver rear.
5) After last tire, car will double honk indicating relearn finished. All sensors on the screen should read about 39psi (if filled to 42ish initially).
5) Top-off each tire to 42psi with compressor, confirm 42psi (+/-1 or 2 psi) on screen.
