Magnetic body panels

Last night I plugged my Volt in. Since it's been raining hard I pulled out my charge port cover (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09J8CM3M2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and used it to keep the rain out of the charging area. It's a magnetic mount and for those who charge outside can be really helpful in keeping the charging port and door clear of ice and water.

Definitely something I will be considering for my next EV.

Do you get ice buildup on the charge port door? That cover would solve the driving rain issue (had it been snow it would have been a white out). I have one of these covers for my Volt but it simply doesn't work.

I used it this winter to keep snow out of the port while charging. My garage was commandeered for a project...
I never thought about these items as I never owned an EV during winter or an EV at all, lol.
Thanks for the tip.
