Touchless start is an interesting idea. I assume the car will turn off as well when you put it in park and leave with the keyfob. Automatic hatch lifting has mixed reviews from people who actually own cars with this feature.
So, as long as you have the key, just press the brake to start the car. We've gone from inserting and turning a key, to pressing the brake and a button, to just pressing the brake. To turn the car off, Park, press the brake, open the door and get out with the key? Will the car also auto-lock (default or via setting)?Touchless start is an interesting idea. Yes, a concern for me is the lift opening when I don't want it to after I park and walk around the rear to a sidewalk or to open a passenger door. Will it be like walking by a store's auto-door opener?Automatic hatch lifting has mixed reviews from people who actually own cars with this feature.
5 Seconds is quick.I think the video said the rear hatch will open if u are standing behind the car for 5 seconds. That is a long time. People will look like idiots just standing still behind their cars with bags in their hands. 😆
I'd rather stand and wait than fumble with a keyfob or try to open the hatch manually.I think the video said the rear hatch will open if u are standing behind the car for 5 seconds. That is a long time. People will look like idiots just standing still behind their cars with bags in their hands. 😆
Thanks, Peter. I see that in the Blazer video, so it will likely work the same for the Equinox EV. It addresses my concern about the gate opening when not intended.I think the video said the rear hatch will open if u are standing behind the car for 5 seconds
