Nice, so I'm guessing a white Equinox EV is perhaps in the future, Bugs?

Now we have a Bugs and the opposite NoBug, haha

I’m not sure if I will be getting an Equinox EV or not. I really like these EUVs.

I started with a 2013 Volt, and then I bought a 2020 Bolt EV. After it got recalled, I trade repurchased it for the 2022, which is one of the infamous “November ‘22- run Bolts that were built right after the battery debacle was figured out. About 4k Bolts were built specifically for GM to replace the people who couldn’t wait for battery replacement for various reasons.

Nice to meet you Steverino 😀

Not sure if I will be getting an Equinox EV at this point in time. TBH I’m extremely happy with both EUVs, and I am not sure if I am going to be ok with GM not being CarPlay compatible for the Equinox or Blazer coming up. I am going to keep an open mind. I don’t know if I can fit an Equinox and a Bolt in my garage without removing the metal shelves on one side. The 2 Bolts are a tight fit, and the ICE Equinox that was my wife’s car prior to the 23 EUV would not fit in the garage with a Bolt. And as I understand, the EV version of the Equinox will be slightly larger both in length and width than the ICE version.

Time will tell, but I am interested in watching how the EV Equinox plays out for all the anxious people who are looking forward to purchasing one.

Thanks for replying to my introduction 😎

I have a 2017 Bolt EV and am very happy with it as well, Bugs. I also have a 2011 Volt that's 12 going on 13 years by the time the Equinox EV will be available.

I won't miss doing the Volt's emission testing. It was a PITA this year. First it failed for a non-emissions related issue. They should have passed it but I did not know there is an appeal/waiver process for that scenario until after I got that fixed. Then it failed because the fix wiped out the car's gas engine history. Grrr. So I had to drive 150 city/highway miles on gas (more than I have in the past four years combined) essentially just burning gas and creating emissions so I could pass the emissions test. Kind of ironic.

But the emissions tester where all impressed with the Volt, :)

There are quite a few ICE drivers who thought that they could be the car that kicks the little innocent looking Bolt’s butt at the stoplight that merges the right lane several hundred feet past the intersection.

I have yet to come out in second place, and Bugs is waving to them for trying lol

I think Mutley would be a great sticker for the same message. And with that in mind, the Tesla performance models should have great white shark stickers on the back 😎

You're right they do look like sharks, lol. I never thought of naming my car. Good idea.

So what would you all "name" the EQ EV if / when you get one be ? :p

I think you have perfectly timed it to trade in the Volt for a new Equinox EV. While also maximizing the use you got from the Volt. The 2013 Volt I previously owned was hard to part with. They were (and are) very special cars; probably the best stepping stone for someone who didn’t know anything about electric cars to transition. And your 2011 makes you a very early adopter. Kudos! A Volt is probably still the best PEHV ever. But it is looking like Toyota has almost caught up with the Volt with the 2023 Prius finally up to ~50 miles of EV range 😝

Would you agree that after the Volt, you wanted to do away with gas stations forever? No more emissions testing and no more oil changes etc. I’m not missing anything about fossil fuel powered vehicles.

I am looking forward to hearing from the owners of the first deliveries of the Equinox. Have you reserved one yet?

My 2018 Mazda CX-5 will be my trade. Currently, I have not reserved until I get pricing information (which will be by July)...I might go for the 2 RS to take advantage of my trade value. My other consideration will be the PEAR. Pricing for that model will most likely be on August 3 in LA.

Haha nice, thanks. Only one issue I ever had with mazda. The navigation SD card . Would turn the info screen to randomly reset. Dealer wanted hundreds to replace it. I bought a SD card on Amazon for 30 bucks never happened again.

Besides the front radar not working in cold conditions, my display screen (nav area) would go into the settings menu and with an audible, " Navigation volume is set at this level". It must be some glitch. It doesn't always do that. I wonder if it needs a card too???
