Nissan's first-ever AWD electric SUV has arrived and the 2023 Nissan Ariya is targeting the heart of the segment with the Ariya e-4ORCE. This dual-motor version of the Ariya offers roughly twice the power and torque of the single-motor version, while the max range at 272 miles is competitive amongst its rivals. For an extra $4,000, the e-4ORCE version of the Nissan Ariya seems like a worthy option.

I sat in it today and was very impressed. However, there's no Federal Tax rate benefit but I did hear that it may be possible for those who lease. For my purposes, it is still a little too big.

thats weird we get a federal rebate for it of 5000 and maybe local provincial rebate in Canada
Canada has much brighter politicians. I can understand buying American/NAFTA products but the recent amendment in the US will just cause more EVs not to sell which in turn will hurt the economy. The smart idea is to have all automakers sign an early promissory note that they will agree to NAFTA production thus allowing them to sell their cars now. If the automaker fails to comply, then they should pay a tariff.

Lets not be too hasty here... The Korean and Japanese automakers really got hit hard by the new tax credit rules in the US.
Yes, I agree and it had stopped or reduced sales of the EV6, and IONIQ 5 among other foreign-made EVs. With all of these models filling up in lots, no sales, no sales the economy going downhill.

Yeah if the Equinox doesn't pan out this was a good option until u see the price tag.
I have a feeling that foreign-made EVs will have to take a hit by selling these models several thousand below MSRP and make up for it once they make production here. Of course, the tax credit rules can all change within the next few years where building in NAFTA areas may not have to be mandatory for owners to get the credit.
