Yesterday I tried to connect my phone to the car's hotspot and there is no Internet. I thought we get 8 years of free Internet connection? The top picture shows that the phone is connected to the car but without internet, and the bottom picture shows that I am no longer able to share the car's wifi to any device (faded, cannot adjust).

In the myChevrolet app press the circle in the top right the select the OnStar plans to see which plans you have. In Canada with the 2025 I had a short (3 months?) plan with 3 GB of data.
I never turned it on mine. But as others has suggested, the wifi hot spot was limited trial with a data cap I believe. If you did not sign up for additional On Star subscription, it is not included in your 8 years period. See this site: OnStar Trial
You can always check your On Star plan to see what is active for how long by checking on the My Chevy App or logging onto the GM account.

Yes, WiFi is only a few months of trial. 8 years is for in-car navigation. 3 years is for car’s other apps (maybe some have that for 8 years).
