I was wondering why Equinox only features rear passenger door lock tabs (see orange arrow) for back passengers and not the front. This feature is not found in my current 4-passenger vehicle.

I was wondering why Equinox only features rear passenger door lock tabs (see orange arrow) for back passengers and not the front. This feature is not found in my current 4-passenger vehicle.

Probably because the lock/unlock button is easily accessible to front-seat occupants. I mean, how often do you actually have to manually lock doors these days anyway? My Volt autolocks and it's over a decade old.

They're trained to say the contrary...dolts.
I thought about it more and perhaps it's a way to open the car if the other parts of the car are in an accident and/or if the battery is unable to open the door (????).
