The Equinox EV wiper blades can be hard to find or non-existent at a local auto parts store, Amazon, etc.

Part numbers for the 2024-2025 windshield wipers (via NiceMann).
  • ACDelco GM Original Equipment Passenger Side Windshield Wiper Blade
    GM Part # 86579489
  • ACDelco GM Original Equipment Driver Side Windshield Wiper Blade
    GM Part # 86579487
Ordering online (~$22) via GM parts suppliers or from your local dealer ($?).
Here's one, GMPartsDirect:

Uplinkt showed they are also available at RockAuto for about the same price as GMPartsDirect.

Installation is covered in the OM as posted by DanJustDan:

ExtraSharky said "To install, there isn't anything particular about it. You literally slide the wiper blade onto the wiper arm and there's a small "click."
(If you or someone has a video showing this let me know and I'll post it here as well.)

Maintenance
Keeping the blades and windshield glass clean aides blade longevity.

Soon after purchasing EQEV, I ordered a set of OEM wiper blades online from a dealer. It took over a month to deliver, but I now carry a spare set of wipers in the car.

In the past, I experienced losing a driver side wiper while driving through heavy snow. Luckily, I had an old wiper in the trunk. Not having a wiper in those conditions is just as bad as having a flat tire.

Annoys me to no end that there still (18 months after the 2024s first arrived) appears to be no aftermarket wiper blades for this connector, at least in the US.

Ah well, I've got a spare set in the garage, and mine have held up so far (10 months). Probably will switch them out at 1 year regardless - and hold onto the old set just in case!

I have been frustrated with the lack of after market blades as well as the cost of the oem blades when you can get them. My personal solution for this problem is I have figured out how to easily remove the rubber blade and replace it. Silicone replacement blades are available on Amazon in packs of 4, each 32 inches in length for about $12. That’s $3 a blade. Removal and replacement takes about 5 minutes.

Also not that First Brands will likely be filing forChapter 11 bankruptcy. Who are they? An auto parts maker with many, many brands such as Fram filters, and wiper blades Trico and Anco. They are also a major supplier to GM. The company is billions in debt.

Try the official GM parts cite: parts.chevrolet.com

GM parts usually has free shipping coupon promotion. In fact, I just checked as shown below. Try promocode "FREESHIP35". It doesn't work on some dealers who is not participating in the promotion. But you can change your location zip code and look for a dealer in other parts of the country who has the parts on sale for lower price AND takes the free shipping promo code. Also there is a 15% off promo for $150 or more order. You can combine those promos usually.

This is my 2nd set of wiper blades. I am having them installed and ordered at a dealership. The clip broke, for unknown reason. But , the black electrical tape working well, will get a roll to keep in car for future failures.

The end of the wiper blade has a plastic cap which is little bit longer than an inch. This needs to be removed and there are two plastic tabs on the inside which must be released. To do this you must pull out 2-3 inches of the rubber blade on the very end. When you do this you will see two pieces of metal that extend the length of the blade. When you remove enough of the rubber blade from the end of the blade you will be able to push the ends of the two pieces of metal towards each other at the end which will release the tabs and the end cap will come off. Slide the new rubber into place between the two pieces of metal. Cut off excess rubber at end. The plastic cap will then slide on and lock into place.

If someone does this (post#20), please post pictures or a YT video of the above. :)

Here's one I found that looks similar to Reves description (below)
