I have this happens quite frequently when I play music using Google Assistant vs the infotainment screen or perhaps when I'm leaving a parking garage with a poor signal. Usually just opening YouTube music and then returning to that screen clears it up, I think. I suspect a reboot is overkill and you can't do it while driving

Not being able to reboot while driving is a GM limitation. Our Volvo reboots fine, you do lose climate and main dash functions during the reboot. I always thought it was a bit weird.
