In my pre-2010 minivan, parking front-in is way easier than parking back-in (built before car cameras were a thing, front view is way better).

In the Equinox EV LT, the advanced rear-view camera with night vision and dynamic vehicle location indicators make back-in parking as easy as (if not easier than) front-in parking.

I'd probably have paid for the 360-degree cameras option if it was available all by itself, but it comes bundled with a bunch of other pricey stuff that I have no use for.

Same with the roof racks - killed by bundling! If GM absolutely has to bundle this, better to bundle it with related stuff like a trailer hitch instead of unrelated random BS... 🙄

Google replies "Sorry, I can't take photos in the car"
This is what Google Assistant says when you ask it to open or display the camera app. My car has the app. It's displayed as an icon in the infotainment screen and I can add it to the hot button task bar. I can engage it at any speed whether forward, reverse, park.

I wonder if Borntoosoon's 2025 LI w/Comfort 1 has these capabilities as well?

One person's BS is another's "want to have", lvriesling. And vice versa. I have no interest in a trailer hitch for example.

Roof rails are at least logically related to the trailer hitch - they both provide methods for externally transporting cargo.

@Steverino can you provide any plausible relationship between "Interior ambient, multi-color lighting" and roof rails?

Yes, as stated in the quote. I turned it on while on the interstate - NOT RECOMMENDED - dangerously fascinating.

There doesn't need to be, lvriesling. They are simply upgrades. This is a fairly common practice across many products, not just automotive .

For example, many software services have different "plans" that unlock more features (and often more storage) as you move up the plans. The features are only related in that they are part of the plan you choose. You'll see this with many "freemium" pricing plans where there is a base, free plan and then one or more pay plans. They all use the same software, just with certain functions turned on or off. In most cases you can't pick or choose the individual features of the plan. You get them all whether you want them all or not.

@Borntoosoon Do you have the LT version with additional FRONT PARK ASSIST? I have not confirmed any other owner that has the 2025 LT with convenience package who has the camera icon. I am still working with GM as a tech confirmed the icon was removed in a software update.

Am I allowed to be paranoid here? What is the right answer to retain this function? Breaking out my tin foil hat now...
The convenience package includes Hitch view, which in turn requires camera app to view. Hitch view was explicitly included on the order.
