Another owner got an OnStar error report emailed (Press OnStar button), that indicated the charger could not feed the DC into the battery pack due to a battery thermal management issue. Can't hurt to ask for your own report when the error pops up, Colorado_Al.

NEW PROBLEMS
Receivers go out periodically ( one or more tires show no receive ), and key fob not detected warning.
Drivers window will no longer go down.
I went to lower it to check my mail, and it went half way and then shot back up and won't go down now.
I will try Onstar to see if a reset or something may fix the window thing.
And now the left front and right front won't work with the left control, but the right works with the right control, so it looks like a button issue. ---- to the dealer it goes!

ACC does not stop the vehicle. No DTC detected by OnStar. This has been the case since I first drove it off the lot. I saw in another thread that the front camera loses power and needs to be replaced. Hoping dealer will fix.
Is the ACC on? I had to figure it out on my own that you have to hold the cancel button until it goes on/off. I think the camera error is because they have isolated the camera to an area the defog does not hit. It should generate a message, rather than just not working.

Yes ACC is on

Here are my bug reports 2025 EquinoxEV - feel free to add some!

  1. Infotainment: google maps allows two simultaneous routes to be active. Every turn they get into an argument.
  2. Front camera fails sometimes, disabling adaptive cruise, starts working after a while. Claims window is dirty but it is not.
  3. Dashboard forward section WRONG COLOR - causes glare that makes it hard to drive when sun is in bad position - it should be dull black, not gloss!!! This is a serious hazard.
  4. Infotainment: Bluetooth login/logoff to phone shuts off current music source.
  5. Getting out of car for a minute turns off Sirius or other music. Defaults to bluetooth when you get back in, so you have to restart music.
  6. Trunk switch hard to push.
  7. Steering wheel printing is very tiny and dull white - hard or impossible to read while driving. Enabling adaptive cruise is not intuitive at all - you shouldn't have to read the manual to know what to push.
  8. Lane keeping is jerky as hell. - not very useful.

I am sure I missed a couple, but it would be nice if someone would post where to send bugs.
I have a 2025 Equinox. We love it. I have found the front camera at driver says is blocked! It is clear but unable to use adaptive cruise control today. This camera has picked up incoming traffic a couple times. I hope it doesn't override me & brake as it thinks it will hit something. The automatic braking is my fear.

tarebearg, please update your account Signature (displays below your posts) and your account Vehicle Details (displays below your avatar) with your Equinox EV details. It's easy, see How to Add Your Equinox EV Details to Your Signature

Window fog in front of the camera located on the windshield may be causing the "blocked" message. Try defogging the window.

An Equinox or an Equinox EV? They are two different cars with a common name.

My 2025 Equinox EV RS, is also experiencing your item 3 and a variation of 2 where ACC drops out with a message stating Adaptive Cruise Temporarily Unavailabe. It happens nearly every time I use it and remains unavailable until vehicle is turned off. However I can switch to regular cruise when the Adaptive is becomes unavailable.

Driving at night I find the led light from the audio volume control bothersome (too bright). I have not investigated if that can be adjusted via the software (I assume not) I am going to paste a dimming circle over it.

There's a dash dimming control to the left of the steering wheel by your knee, tmozer3. Maybe that will help you.

I'll be turning off Reverse Automatic Braking. It turns on with no apparent reason other than perhaps driveways with cracked or dirty pavement. My passengers think we crashed when it activates. It's perhaps the most unpleasant feature of the car.

When I start my 2025 Active the Infotainment screen is always at the home screen with no audio. I have to hunt for the audio stream I want. I've scanned the manual and did not find a solution. Basically I want the car to start with the audio tuned to one of my favorites (Sirius XM The Bridge). How can I set that up please?
