Question: what exactly does the Evotex material look like? Is it more like a fabric or a like a leatherette?
More like leatherette for most of the seat. I sat in a 2RS (black with red trim). In that version, it seemed firmer than leather.

The Chevrolet.com site allows you to choose a trim, tap on a button to select an interior, get a 360° view of that interior and zoom-in on the seats.

My wife has already said to me: "What do you need all those things for?"
My wife is similarly unimpressed with the 3LT extras. As long the front seats and steering wheel are heated, she's OK with it. Gadgets are mostly my thing...

I'm keen about the heated wiper park. It's something I never had and certainly could live without, but it seems to make so much sense for our climate.

Also can someone post that order book link again?
Added to post #1 CTA.

the only person I'm really trying to impress if I went 3LT is myself lol
I don't know why the 3LT is being thought of as something that's ordered to impress people.

The only things I can think of that meet that criteria are the powered gull wing doors on a Tesla or the Cyberstruck styling. If someone thinks heated rear seats, power seats or dual zone AC or a garage door remote are going to impress people, hold onto your hat while I show off my power windows! lol

It's just a nice looking SUV like many others out there. The only thing that could make it impressive to some is that it's electric.

If you want to make an impression with the Equinox EV you'll need to add racing stripes, a rear whale tail spoiler, maybe jack it a few feet off the ground, perhaps add some big game hunter spotlights on the roof above the windshield. :)

My wife has already said to me: "What do you need all those things for?" in reference to the 3LT and has given me that look that says "I know. You just want all the fancy gadgets" -- so the only person I'm really trying to impress if I went 3LT is myself lol. But based on this I will likely go with 2LT due to more range (whatever that difference ends up being) (I would only use it for short commute to work and it would be our road trip car for 3-4 times a year).

Question: what exactly does the Evotex material look like? Is it more like a fabric or a like a leatherette? Also, I couldn't see in the order book, what type of seating material does the 2RS get? Also can someone post that order book link again?
I think Evotex is a combo of faux leather material with a cloth-like material. They're one of the nicest seats in the segment.

In so far as deciding between 2 LT or 3 LT it comes down to your budget I think. You will spend more on the 3 LT plus juicing your car a little bit more often as the 3 LT has larger tires and less range. Larger tires are also a little more expensive if they were to be replaced.

It’s just fake leather and, at least to me, feels like really good vinyl.

My wife acts like she doesn't care. Until I have the AC on too cold for her. Or until she wants to grab items from the rear and gets dirty grabing the tailgat
That's a Blazer thing, though.
It is still a let down. When even Hyundai added it as standard to most of their vehicles 5 years ago, I expected it to become standard for domestics as well. GM is way behind on this simple addition.

My guess is it's driven by the manufacturers home country roads and street parking, Evan. Driving overseas on very narrow roads, the sideview mirrors can get clipped by passing cars. Same is true for cars parked along the narrow roads. Folding mirrors address the parking issue. The tight parking issue may be seen as less of an everyday concern in North America. Besides the added expense, it's two less motors to go wrong.

Maybe GM has other reasons, but that's my guess.

I'd agree with that analysis... But... North America also have much more people living in a house with a garage, and sometimes fold in your mirrors is required to get into it. It's not as big of a problem as narrow roads and tight parking in Europe, but it's some kind of advantage for North Americans to have folding mirrors.

My first car, a 1989 Nissan 240 had its right mirror clipped by another car. It cost about $350 plus labor to install a new one. But even if folded in it still exposes some of the mirror. For me, it is just a cool look.

Really?! You think it looks cool with the mirrors folded? I actually liked it the way they designed it in the past, when the mirrors were really design-focused (some look like angels, some like airplanes, etc), and paced on the hood, like a "side hood ornament". And that's coming from a millennial!

Manually folding the driver's side mirror is easy, it's right there. But I can see where power folding the passenger sideview mirror would be handy compared to walking around the car doing it manually.

Regardless, the Equinox EV doesn't sport power-folding as an option. The Blazer and Cadillac do, along with HUD, rear-view camera display.

Power folding is most-valuable in the full size truck/ SUV market where vehicle girth + wider mirrors for towing are common. The Hummer owners appear to use it a lot when pulling into their garage. The only time my Volt’s side mirrors need folding is at the car wash, and the attendants do that.

Power side mirror adjusting from the driver position is vital, though. I trust that is standard?

I do touchless... So no need to fold the mirrors.

As shown in the print book attached to post #1, HVAC
DLF Mirrors, outside heated power-adjustable, manual- folding Standard on all trim (1LT unknown)

If you don't do touchless parking, please don't park anywhere near me.
I normally park in the hinterland where there are plenty of open spots. I don't need to be as close to the store entrance as possible. Some say a little walking is even good for you, haha.
