The Equinox and Blazer EVs have both frequently exhibited a dip down to the 60 kW level, typically at around 60%, then recovering at around 70% to over 80 kW. The 350 kw EVgo session is odd. It appears the pack quickly over-heated, as the charging amps plummeted from almost 500 amps to about 200 amps in just a couple of minutes, at a relatively low SOC, and took forever to recover.
I wonder if he had the cabin AC on high. When charging at 500 amps the battery cooling system needs most of the AC capacity.
I haven’t had time to fully analyze the 150 kw session yet.
