I got these sticks for my music on Amazon a few weeks ago. Came as a 2 pack - one for me, one for her. One end USB-A, the other end USB-C. The way I measure them, it'll stick out about 1.25" from the face of the port. Hoping that will keep it low enough in at least one of the front ports to not be annoying.

I saw them on Amazon without the storage.

For some reason, none of my USBs will play. I just get a notification on the screen that no media is found. It says that you may have to format it. I have formatted and put 2 MP3 files on it and I get the same thing.

Perhaps there is an issue with the drive formatting rather than the audio files on the drive?

I reformatted to FAT32 and got my USB drive working in the car also. Is there a way to put the USB icon on the main screen?

I bought two USB C/A sticks at Costco for $19.00. One side fits the old fashioned USB A plug and the other is a USB C plug. I can download from my laptop on the USB A and then flip it around and use the USB C in the Equinox. It works great.
I bought one of those on Amazon and the car doesn't recognize it at all. I believe the files are mainly .mp3. It has the same folder structure as the music stored on my computer as well as a folder for playlists. Any ideas on why this would not be working?

If you read the posts above, you'll see it has to be formatted FAT32. Check if it is.

Well, you know what they say about assumptions, they make an ass out of you, and umption.

You wouldn't be the first in this thread to have a drive formatted to an incompatible file system, and you don't know what you have, so I would start by checking it. You usually get a msg on the screen saying it's not compatible, but in your case you say it's not recognized at all, which I interpret as no msg, so also try another drive, try the other port, and see what happens.

In addition to what @DarkDan72 said, did you go into the audio menu and select USB? If you don’t select USB as the source, the vehicle will not read it.
