Another option that has worked well is the A2Z Typhoon Pro Tesla Supercharger adapter.

A2Z Typhoon Pro Tesla Supercharger adapter is available to order for $168 after 15% off and free shipping by using the discount code “GMC”.

You can bundle the A2Z Stellar AC Tesla to J-1772 (Hotel / Destination Level 2 chargers) for $71 additional after discount by using the drop down on the Typhoon Pro page to get both adapters.

This unit may be perfectly fine Equinox_EV, however, any damage from using it will not be covered under warranty. The high voltage battery is the most expensive part on the Equinox EV. Risking out-of pocket repairs or replacement to save a few dollars is not a risk I'd take.

2024 & 2025 OM :
To charge your vehicle, it may be necessary to use a special adapter to match the format of the charger you intend to use. The most common adapter for GM vehicles is a North American Charging Standard on a DC Fast Charger to CCS (the connector on your vehicle). If you use an adapter which is not sold, provided, or approved by General Motors and it causes damage to your vehicle’s battery, said damage would not be covered under warranty.

Is this adapter GM approved? Is it being sold by GM?

I was going to buy it but read the warranty clause and changed my mind, I ended up getting the GM adapter, although the A2Z combo offer is more appealing.

This is likely going to go down the same path as motor oil where standards override manufacturer approved products (which we’re kind of stuck with). Unfortunately, it takes an adapter manufacturer willing to back-up their product legally and actual, real damage to someone’s vehicle to challenge the warranty exclusion the vehicle manufacturers are going to make in the mean time (because they can’t test everything). There’s also practically no way to prove whether the car, adapter, charger, or power company was at fault when you’re staring at a burned out hulk of what used to be a car.

I think that until their adapters are UL Certified, those selling aftermarket adapters will not have a leg to stand on. Same as if a motor oil hasn't been certified to meet SAE and automaker standards.

Even the adapters that GM is currently selling are yet to be UL Certified, but GM and Tesla have agreed to accept them. Well obviously Tesla accepts its own adapters. I wonder what it took for Tesla to accept the Lectron adapters? Are they only accepting them for sale to Bolt owners since Bolts only draw 55 kW max?

No Avatar is needed but your Vehicle description is lacking a few details as spelled out in detail in the private messages you were sent, Duke. Nowhere was there a mention of adding a picture for your avatar. Ir's fine to have one, it just wasn't requested.

Heres what you were sent (more than once):

"AWD or FWD?

Please update your
  • account Signature (displays below your posts) and
  • account Vehicle Details (displays below your avatar)
with FWD or AWD. Tire size is a plus too!

Examples: “2024 Equinox EV 3LT AWD 21” Tires” or “2025 Equinox EV LT FWD CP2 SC” (CP2 = Convenience Pkg 2, SC = SuperCruise).

It's easy, click this link, follow the instructions How to Add Your Equinox EV Details to Your Signature"

How you turned that into adding a house picture and completely ignoring AWD/FWD request is one of life's mysteries. Hopefully you can get this addressed before end of Monday, if not, your account will be suspended.

Please advise whether you are now happy. I follow several forums. This is the only one that demands such information, and I can't figure out what an account signature is.
Is there a thread about radio volume? However I set it (classical listener), it returns to about half volume on restart.
Thanks.
Duke

You can go to Settings -> Sounds -> Maximum volume at startup. You may want to adjust the level higher.
