That’s GM’s public service announcement. I don’t know of any way that it can be prevented from popping up. I just press the “okay” button and go about my merry way.

LOL, this has been a thing on GM vehicles for over a decade when they moved to LCD screen infotainment. It usually shows up once a month or so. Just click okay and start driving. This is there for their lawyers.

 

This is the "McDonalds Hot Coffee" effect.

If step ladders had a display screen you can bet you would not be able to open the ladder until clicking an OK to a CYA legal disclaimer.

 

I've always been curious about this screen. If I select a different language does it change the language for the entire system?

Every so often, I get this message displayed and have to hit OK to dismiss it. Is there any way of stop it as I find it totally unnecessary and annoying?!

My previous car as well. Here's the irony......If it had not popped up, I would be on my way with eyes on the road. When it does pop up, I need to look at it and press it in order for me to see the back up camera.

it pops up as soon as the vehicle is turned on. Just wait 15 seconds before moving, close the popup and get going.
