Whistling noise: new door seal needed

New owner here, I've had the car for about a week and it's been great! I've noticed one annoying issue though, which is a high pitched whistling noise that comes from the driver's side window area. It happens between 45-65+ mph and sounds like it's coming from outside, possibly from the side mirror. Has anyone else experienced this?

The window appears to be fully closing just fine, and I'm not hearing any road noise leaking through. It's a little hard to investigate at speed, but I'm going to try driving briefly with the mirror folded, window cracked open, etc. to see if I can pinpoint the source. I'd love to know if this is a common issue or just my car.

Sometimes putting painters tape over gaps and seals then going for drives can help troubleshoot what is causing wind noises. Reposition, add, and remove until you isolate the noise then figure out a strategy to fix it (or you’ll have the specifics to tell the dealer).

So I finally have some updates to my whistling noise issue if anyone is still dealing with this. I took the car to the dealer last November, and they agreed that there was abnormal whistling at 45 mph and excessive wind noise from the driver's side in general. They found it was the window seal (by using tape just like in the video above).

They ordered a new door seal, which took until two weeks ago (almost 6 months!) to come in. I just got the car back and am happy to report the whistling is completely gone and the car is much quieter in general!

It was almost unsettling how quiet it was on the way home from the dealer (with the A/C off), so I'm very pleased with the fix.

I don't know if anyone here has much experience chasing down wind noise, but any advice on how to seal this to see if it's the cause? I can't figure out a good way to tape this due to how deep everything is without just taping the entire seam (which won't tell me if its this specific area that's at fault). I might just target it with the compressor and see how bad it sounds but if I can seal it well in just this area with something I'd prefer that.

Also, could someone verify their EQEV doesn't look like this on their driver side? I assume both sides should be identical, but confirmation would be nice without having to visit the dealership first. I highly suspect this is my wind source.

Digging up an old thread here, but I finally have an update, if a useless one. I got the dealer to take another look at this after the summer and they said it's defective weather stripping this time. That said, the order has no eta for a fix. I assume parts are still going towards new vehicles. Picked up the car but it's a waiting game now until GM ships the part. While I was there, saw another '25 on the lot; it had the defective weather stripping on both doors/windows so it seems to be very common.
