I'd actually like it to stay silent until I'm ready to listen to music every restart. So that's good for me... Anyway it's likely because you don't have a strong signal on first startup so no audio until you select something.

Mine plays the last station and the volume I was listening to when I get in.

When I start my 2025 Active the Infotainment screen is always at the home screen with no audio. I have to hunt for the audio stream I want. I've scanned the manual and did not find a solution. Basically I want the car to start with the audio tuned to one of my favorites (Sirius XM The Bridge). How can I set that up please?
Tmozer3: you are in the Equinox EV forum. I see your vehicle pic and signature show you have the ICE (non-EV) version of the car so the responses you get here may not help you.

When I enter my EQEV, it turns on my last station and volume setting that I had when I last exited the vehicle.

Chevy marketing strikes again. Give two completely different cars the same "Equinox" name.

Yes I see that (wrong forum). Thanks and sorry. Is there a 2025 ICE Equinox forum?

John28885, please update your account Signature (displays below your posts) and your account Vehicle Details (displays below your avatar) with your Equinox EV details. It's easy, see How to Add Your Equinox EV Details to Your Signature

3. Polarized sunglasses eliminate the glare 100%, I hear an anti-glare dash mat is coming soon.
4. Settings > Connections > Phone > Options > Media Source Priority
5. Getting out with the fob and shutting the drivers door initiates the auto-shutdown (as it should). Try leaving the door open.
6. Use the fob instead then. Or the auto open hatch feature. I have no issue with the soft-covered button on the hatch bottom lip. YMMV
7. Yes, you SHOULD read the manual to understand how sophisticated systems work. That said, my ACC is always on, and is engaged with a quick toggle flick.
8. Lane Keep Assist will nudge back if you start going over the lane lines. That's it, it's not driving the car. Also, you need to use turn signals when lane changing, otherwise it will assume you are unsafely veering from the lane and nudge back on the steering wheel.
Good answers and I agree with all of them. I have SC and using it with ACC is great. Is it perfect, no, but works 95% of my highway driving.

Not sure. But Google should have an answer for you. Good luck and hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Good to hear about issues, but we also want to hear about solutions. If I had any of these issues I would first call On Star and next schedule an appointment at my dealer. I would also take pictures of the screens when shown issues.

I think on my Chevrolet equinox 2025 the 4x4 mode has a bug / an issue that only seems to occur when it's cold outside—unfortunately, that's exactly when you need it most, since it's usually cold after it snows on the road.
What issue?

It remains stuck in 2-wheel drive mode. The icon on the dashboard stays orange, and a message appears when I start the vehicle, stating that the 4x4 cannot be activated. I’ll share a photo later if that helps.
Yes photos are helpful.
And next time it happens, press the OnStar button and ask them to scan for codes and email it to to and post that as well

Er, are you referring to an Equinox or to an Equinox EV? Two totally different cars that unfortunately share a name.

Here are my bug reports 2025 EquinoxEV - feel free to add some!

  1. Infotainment: google maps allows two simultaneous routes to be active. Every turn they get into an argument.
  2. Front camera fails sometimes, disabling adaptive cruise, starts working after a while. Claims window is dirty but it is not.
  3. Dashboard forward section WRONG COLOR - causes glare that makes it hard to drive when sun is in bad position - it should be dull black, not gloss!!! This is a serious hazard.
  4. Infotainment: Bluetooth login/logoff to phone shuts off current music source.
  5. Getting out of car for a minute turns off Sirius or other music. Defaults to bluetooth when you get back in, so you have to restart music.
  6. Trunk switch hard to push.
  7. Steering wheel printing is very tiny and dull white - hard or impossible to read while driving. Enabling adaptive cruise is not intuitive at all - you shouldn't have to read the manual to know what to push.
  8. Lane keeping is jerky as hell. - not very useful.

I am sure I missed a couple, but it would be nice if someone would post where to send bugs.
I've only had the vehicle for a week, but one irritant is your #4. I'm listening to Sirius XM and it kicks to Bluetooth. I'm sure it's related to my paired phone, but all I'm wanting to use it for is hands-free calling. It probably does it on average once every 5 minutes or so. The phone is sitting in my pocket when it happens.

On my '25 equinox RS I have to slam the hood shut.
Simply dropping it from halfway down doesn't close it.

(Sooner or later I'll bring it to the shop for a warranty fix)

It just needs to come in earlier and softer. God help you if you try to pass someone with it on! Lotsa butt buzzing and lights and it fights you. Mostly it is just jerky, when it should come on earlier and softer.
Did you use the turn signal for the lane change? I drive a CRV somtimes for work and when I try to change lanes without using the turn signal, the car freaked out and tried to steer back to my original lane!
