I finished installing the door speakers. The sound is definitely better. Much Fuller and warmer. However, the not-yet-replaced factory tweeters are bad, no other word for their sound quality. If I fade to the back seat speakers only (two way Focals) and seat in the back seat, the sound is great. But once the front Focals plus factory tweeters join, it becomes unpleasant, especially for sharp tones such as xylophone or high pitch female voice.
This is work in progress and I plan to work on the tweeters soon. Also videotaping the work.

Pretty small

Also installing an aftermarket rear view camera mirror. This is more involved as I need to print some brackets and solve power source location as there is no 12v cigarette lighter outlet any more.

The Chevrolet parts listing for a dash cam for the Equinox EV uses an OBD port "plug and play harness" to get power. The link is at the chevypartspros site (sorry, it won't let me put in links) /sku/19433434.html for the 4K version. There is a lower res version at /sku/19433432.html

For the audio/speakers I am not using any power.
As for the mirror display, there is no 12v outlet that I could find in the cabin. The one in the cargo area is too far. For the display mirror I will use a 12v to 5v 3amp converter directly from the battery (see picture).
BTW, everything I install is reversible, non-destructive for warranty reasons.

Power Outlets
Power Outlets 12-Volt Direct Current
The vehicle has two 12-volt outlets that can be used to plug in electrical equipment, such as a cell phone or MP3 player.

The power outlets are located:
• Inside of the center console.
• In the rear cargo area.
Lift the cover to access the outlet and replace when not in use.

 This is why we have forums like this. I searched and searched and never found this one. They hide it really well.
Thanks Steve, great help.

Bought (product details for other people), Isa? 3D printed?
Designed and 3D printed. It is charger and phone specific so no point in uploading .stl

I finished installing the tweeters and also corrected an installation error in the door speakers.

Amazing sound. Pure Bliss. Unbelievable... I can go on and on...
The highs are clean and clear and the mid and bass fill the cabin so well.

A bit of a risk driving while listening 😃 DUI

I will edit the installation video and post a link here as soon as I get to it.

Tried out the sound system today - was pleasantly surprised. Wish I had seen your post about the fade/balance for front-rear. Maxed up the Bass and treble and set the midrange at 60%. Only had local FM radio to choose from as the car was in the showroom and satellite was choppy. Local station played Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen and it sounded very good at 50% volume. No complaints about the speakers. Loudness (amp) will be adequate. Will just need to figure out a high fidelity source for the tracks.
Had a test drive today and took a thumb drive with 5 tracks in 5 different formats- WAV; MP3; FLAC; M4A; WMA.
The EQ EV immediately recognized and played the WAV ; MP3; and FLAC files - no problems, but not the other 2 formats..
Both the WAV and FLAC sounded good.
What a relief!
Now just need to work out the logistics of having multiple thumb drives with multiple artists. Maybe color coding them?
Blue for; Beatles, Black Sabbath The Band... Fusia for Frank Zappa, Free etc...???
Anybody have a workable system for organizing your thumb drives? The drives are so small now, and my vision is not so good...
